WORKSHOPS · EXPERIENCES

Our contemporary art workshops are based on creative dynamics which are respectful to the environment. They are designed for groups of around 10 people, as well as our guests.

These group experiences last from 2 to 6 hours. During this time, we immerse ourselves into various artistic processes to develop and awaken a new creative and sustainable aptitude among participants.

We design Art and Sustainability workshops for groups, get in touch.

Workshop 1. Weaving and Creating

A 5 hour experience for groups of 10 people, taught by Raquel Bartolomé in El Telar de Prádena.

During this time we immerse ourselves into various artistic processes to develop and awaken a new creative and sustainable aptitude among participants.

With Athena and Arachne myth as our starting point, we will generate narratives around womanhood, art and contemporary craftsmanship.

Check group prices via email.

Workshop 2. Herbarium

This workshop is based on the contact with nature and the analysis of shapes, composition and colour. All these aspects are the basis of the art work to be created mixing different water-based techniques.

The main objectives are:

  • To enhance participants’ own identity.
  • To create in harmony and coherence with our surroundings.

Workshop 3. Natural Mandalas

Circular embroidery (specially for families).

A 3 hour experience for groups of 10 people, taught by Raquel Bartolomé in El Telar de Prádena.

This workshop is based on the artwork “Bordar el Manto Terrestre” (Embroidering the Earth’s Mantle) by Raquel Bartolomé. This experience is thought of as a way of working wih natural resources from agriculture, such as soil or seeds in an ephemeral and circular way.

The main objectives are to get to know and connect, to “think with our hands”, to create a contemporary piece of art by means of various creative processes, all of them sustainable and respectful to the environment.

Linen workshop

From flax to linen: we are working to bring back the local textile linen seed in an attempt to get a suitable and optimum fibre for yarning. You will learn all the steps of the natural process as well as its uses.

The workshops are adapted to the different stages of the process; preparing the soil (March-April), sowing (May-June), watering (May-June-July), harvesting (August), rippling (September), fibre extraction (October-November) and spinning (December, January, February).

We firmly believe in the importance of bringing back this process due to its relevance in this land in the past. A relevance shown by the presence of name places such as “Los Linares”, “Las Pozas” or El Puerto de Lineras in Matabuena.

Painting classes

Group and individual painting classes on Mondays. We work various water-based techniques in sustainable sizes and formats.

Art workshop for children up to 12 whose main aim is to create resilient notions of life based on contemporary art.

Individual and family experiences

We warmly welcome our guests to carry out different land tasks depending on the season; preparing the soil of the orchard, arranging firewood, feeding the hens, picking up eggs from the coop, preparing seeds, harvesting…
